what is surrogacy

Surrogacy refers to the process of transferring an embryo created from the sperm and egg of a couple into the uterus of the surrogate, who then carries out the entire pregnancy and childbirth process. For the intended parents with poor ovarian function, advanced age, recurrent miscarriages, adverse uterine conditions or absence thereof, or certain medical conditions that prevent natural conception, surrogacy is one of the primary means to have a healthy baby.

There are also individuals who do not wish to experience pregnancy and childbirth or being unable to conceive for specific reasons (such as gay couples). Intended parents worldwide in need of surrogacy can seek surrogacy services in countries where surrogacy is legally permitted.

We aim to provide comprehensive reproductive medical and surrogacy services in countries where surrogacy is legally permitted for intended parents with surrogacy needs from various countries. Tailor made services will be offered based on the actual physical condition of intended parents as well as their family's financial situation, marital status, etc.

The complete process of surrogacy includes:

- Pre-examination: intended parents need to undergo physical examinations followed by improving their physical conditions by doctors under medical supervision to prepare for sperm and egg retrieval. If donor sperm or eggs are required, thorough examinations will also be conducted.

- Egg retrieval: fertility drugs will be used to stimulate multiple mature eggs within the female's ovaries. Once follicles reach retrieval conditions, surgery will be performed under anesthesia without pain lasting generally 15-20 minutes.

- Embryo cultivation: on the day of egg retrieval, processed sperm fertilizes oocytes by using single-sperm injection technology, after which the embryo cultivation starts.

- Embryo chromosome disease screening / gender selection: we are able to screen embryos for chromosomal abnormalities or genetic diseases while confirming gender by using technologies such as NGS/PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) and PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis).

- Surrogate examination: a comprehensive examination will be conducted once a surrogate has been selected along with preparation and signing of legal documents related to surrogacy.

- Embryo transfer to surrogate: the surrogate's body will undergo medication intervention according her physical condition until she meets suitable transfer conditions when embryo transfer takes place.

- Pregnancy confirmation: pregnancy tests occur on the 10th to 14th after the embryo transfer to the surrogate followed by continuous medication-based monitoring after confirming embryo implantation during first three months.

- Pregnancy management: we offer accommodation alongside facilitation for the surrogate including dedicated nanny care for the daily activities of the surrogate.

- Prenatal Check-ups: throughout the entire pregnancy, prenatal check-ups will be conducted strictly in accordance with the relevant requirements. The reports of these check-ups will be provided to the intended parents in a timely manner, enabling them to stay posted about the fetal growth.

- Childbirth: intended parents will generally arrive one week before the baby delivery. After the birth, we will assist the parents in completing all legal clearance, allowing them to bring the baby back home and conclude a successful surrogacy journey.
